Soccer Stud

Several months ago (long before we had even signed on to host Dzintars) I heard about a great deal on a soccer camp for Brennan. U.K. International Soccer Camps brings British coaches over to the United States for the summer and they travel around holding week long soccer camps for kids. On the first day of camp I realized there were also teens at this camp. On a whim I emailed the guy who heads up the program out here, Neil Hitchman, and told him about Dzintars. I asked if he would consider letting him participate in this weeks camp as well rather than just watching Brennan and the other kids play. He agreed immediately! Neil, thank you so much for your generosity! Dzintars was beyond excited when I told him he'd get to play today as well! He's never been to anything like this before, nor has he received any "real" coaching in Latvia. As you can see by the pictures, he liked it VERY MUCH!!

My two soccer studs ready for a day of camp!

Seriously? Have you ever seen a kid so happy to be doing soccer drills before??

Getting some tips from Coach JJ. Who said Dzintars lack of English wouldn't be a problem at all seeing as how his accent was so thick most of the American kids couldn't understand him either!!

Team scrimmage, Dzintars scored 3 of the 4 goals for his team!!

Excuse the quality, I was shooting through a chain link fence but had to capture him in action.

Dzintars first ever soccer coach!!

Three hours of soccer equals three tired but happy boys! Three more days to go!
