To be honest I wasn't sure if I was going to really like this one, but I was pleasantly surprised. It might be one of my favorites. We took the kids to Pavilions and let them pick out a bouquet of roses, then I handed them each a rose and we proceeded to hand them out to ladies who were doing their shopping. You wouldn't believe the smiles these flowers brought to their recipients!! It was very sweet to witness, they were all so surprised and so grateful, one lady actually teared up! Something so simple, yet to meaningful to those who received them!
Bren picked these out, he's got good taste!
Ready to spread some kindess in Pavilions!
And they're off!
Who wouldn't want a rose from this cutie???
We bought two more bouquets to give as special birthday surprises!!
Today is Auntie Jenny's birthday so the kiddos brought her some flowers too!
She was out celebrating so Brennan decided to leave them in her mailbox. So sweet, so thoughtful and yet so VISIBLE. Apparently someone else thought these were beautiful and stole them right out of their mail box (on their porch) before Auntie Jenny ever saw them :( So sad! Someone stole their kindness!
They also gave flowers to our sweet friend Karen who also celebrated her special day today. Sadly, I had to leave daddy in charge of photographing the delivery of said flowers beacuse I had to head to the airport to greet some Latvians, he failed to take a picture of the kids and Karen :(
I however did get pics of all my SoCal families and their Latvian host kiddos!! You're welcome!!
All six of our LAX Latvians and their host families! They will be well loved this Christmas!
Artjoms and his host mom and host sister, that's my friend Laura on the right! She shared about Dzintars on her facebook page and her friend Kim decided to host this winter! So thankful for Laura and her role in getting Artjoms to America this Christmas!!
Brothers Sasha and Zhenya and their host family! These two are from the same orphanage as Dz and have been offered for hosting at least 3 times and were never chosen...until now that is :)
They are also the last of the kiddos my sweet friend Angie in Georgia met while in Latvia that have yet to be hosted. She's been advocating for them for quite some time!
Santa was hosted this summer and is super nice! Her family loved her so much they brought her back again. See the little guy in the front? He was full on sobbing when Santa left in August, just bawling his little eyes out!! Bet he's happy now:)
Santa's family bought her the biggest Rudolph EVER!
Arturs (far left) and his host family!
Here's another cutie who was able to return to her summer host family!
It was a great night! Can't wait for all their hosting journeys to unfold!! Dzintars and five other Latvians flew into SFO tonight as well! They arrived safe and sound and SUPER tired! Our LAX kids looked pretty worn down, so much more so than they did this summer!
Dzintars with his mom and dad and all FIVE of his new brothers!!
Stacy's (Dz's mama) sister and her husband decided to host as well. They have four kiddos already and decided to host a sibling set of four!
One other family picked up a host kiddo in SFO tonight. Still waiting to see their photo!
Tomorrow we will give...
fun to see the images. tell me more about hosting children. jonesidosio@sti.net
