Random Acts - Day 22

Today we cruised through McDonald's to...

Peter was not a willing participant in today's kindness advent, but he was the driver so he had to commit the act. He thought it was silly and said "people don't do that!" Well today people did! When the time finally came he ROCKED it!! He said the sweetest things to the gal ringing us up and you should have seen her smile! She was thrilled. Pretty sure we made her day! Mission accomplished!

Last night we crammed in a few last minute holiday events.  First we headed out to Alta Loma to check out a neighborhood that is known for their awesome Christmas lights. We had to drive right by the exit for Chik-Fil-A so of course we stopped there first! It was delish as always, thankfully Santa is bringing us a more local Chik-Fil-A in January so our treks out to Rancho won't be happening much longer. The lights were out of this world. The people in the neighborhood capitalize on the crowds and sell everything from hot chocolate and churros to chili. It's nuts. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the lights and we'll definitely go again next year! We didn't even have time to see them all before we had to head out to our next event!

We said goodbye to our Christmas tree yesterday, it was beyond dead! I figured our house sitter would be less than thrilled if our tree burst into flames while she was snoozing in the living room, so in the name of safety it had to go! You should have seen the mess it left behind when I drug it's sorry behind outside! Oh my! I've always been a lover of live trees but after the mess I cleaned up last night there is definitely a case to be made for fake trees! We're at Gramma's now enjoying the beauty of her mess-free fake tree! See ya next year pine needles!

Some final pics of our 2012 Christmas tree.

Tomorrow we're going to...

Oma and Opa (Dutch for Grandma and Grandpa) are my grandparents. They live in a retirement community that they LOVE and they're always super thrilled to show off their great grandkids so we'll be going over there to spread some Christmas kindness!
